Se trata de una iniciativa impulsada por Explora Los Ríos y ejecutada por la Dirección de Vinculación con el Medio y la Dirección Museológica de la Universidad Austral de Chile, y que tiene por objetivos poder acercar la cultura, la historia y el patrimonio de nuestra región a las familias de Los Ríos que no han tenido la oportunidad de visitarlos debido a que se encuentran sin acceso a público debido a la crisis sanitaria actual.
El recorrido es completamente gratuito, y ofrece la oportunidad a la comunidad de conocer de forma segura los museos Histórico y Antropológico Maurice Van de Maele y de la Exploración Rudolph Armando Philippi; acercando así la diversidad cultural y natural del territorio sur austral presente en los museos UACh.
La coordinadora ejecutiva de Explora Los Ríos, Camila Tejo, aseguró que “una de las cosas más interesantes de esta iniciativa es que utiliza tecnología 3D para realizar el recorrido virtual, y destacó que “es una oportunidad de entretención y un panorama familiar y seguro para realizar en casa.” Finalizó.
